  Rose Broe Pirate Brides

Whether on Keyboard or piano accordion, Rose is renowned for engaging her audience with intuitive and tasteful playing, superb harmony singing and a quick wit. She has been a valued contributor to the Brisbane folk music scene for more than 2 decades. She brings with her a broad palette of musical influences ranging from swing to bluegrass to traditional Irish music. She is equally at home playing in an all-night session with her buddies or performing professionally at events and festivals around the country. Her ability to hit the ground running means she is regularly in demand both as a live performer and as a studio musician where she has contributed to many local recordings.

Rose can't help harmonising, and is responsible for the vocal arrangements that give the Brides their characteristic "sound".

Previous and current bands include The Pirate Brides, Fallen Angels (with Amanda Gilmour), Shebeen, Marmalade Swing, The Verandah Band and No Right Turn. Other musical projects have been "Electric Women", "Rock-and Roll Circus", and as a musician for the Woodford Fire Event. She shamelessly admits to her involvement in the ABBA singalong at Woodford.
